An important factor uncared for
Due to the meagre income in the agriculture based and labour based families, health and hygiene is a factor on which expenditure is considered to be a burden on the family’s economy. Moreover the living conditions of the deprived groups like the families involved in rag-picking are pitiful bringing illness and sickness to the community. The ignored sickness grows into severe diseases and thus takes a heavy toll on the income of the family.
Realising the plight of these people, the society initiated with regular and periodic medical camps within the localities associated with the Research & Relief Society. The organisation is associated with over 50 villages and several semi-urban localities over District Meerut in Western Uttar Pradesh through different programs initiated by it. Thus one of the major work spheres of the society is an aim to create better health conditions among the rural and marginalised community.

In the same regards, a free health check up camps are organised in these villages. The camps also facilitate creating awareness about the general hygiene, proper sanitation, diet, family planning, vaccinations etc.
In addition to this, regular blood donation camps are also organised where villagers are motivated to volunteer for donating their blood which could prove to be life saviours in need. The organisation proudly announces an association of a group of volunteers who have been donating blood on a bi-annual basis as per their health conditions.
The organisation is also involved in promoting the Indian Medical System of Ayurveda, Homeopathy and yoga etc. |
